Robert serves as a trusted advisor to leading family offices and private enterprises around the world. With more than fifteen years of experience across law, business, wealth preservation and succession planning, he counsels clients through the complex challenges related to establishing, operating and managing corporate and trust and estate structures, investments, operating businesses, real estate, tangible assets and other properties.
In his practice, Robert leads a coordinated and multidisciplinary approach bringing together legal, tax, financial and fiduciary expertise. He designs governance structures that are agile and evolve to match values, objectives and needs, with an emphasis on accumulative growth, legal stability and tax efficiency. His work often involves structuring and establishing family offices and private trust companies, trust and estate planning, cross-border planning, expatriation planning and jurisdictional analysis in leading trust and business domiciles.
Complex Controversies
Robert has also spent a significant portion of his career representing businesses and families in complex and high stakes disputes, advocating in federal and state courts, before arbitration tribunals and resolving actions before state and federal agencies. He has successfully litigated dozens of cases to award or settlement and has briefed and/or argued appeals in state and federal appellate courts.

Robert is admitted to practice in New York, Wyoming, Washington, DC. and New Jersey. He holds an MBA (EMBL-HSG) from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, a Juris Doctor (JD) from New York Law School and a Bachelor of Science degree from Fordham University.
He is a dual-citizen of Italy and the United States and speaks English, Italian, German and Spanish. Robert is a Young Leader with the American Swiss Foundation where he served member of the Board of Directors through 2021.
Robert is a named Inventor on two published United States patent applications and is a licensed pilot. He is presently pursuing his interests in glider flight and is an avid skier.
